Alex and Victoria requested a simple service. A ceremony that reflected their love for each other, without the bells and whistles, and this is exactly what we gave them.
Their service contained vows, commitments and 2 readings. I read the Apache Blessing, and the best man, a special poem. I have to share as it’s really lovely:
Now you have lit a fire and that fire should not go out.
The two of you have a fire that represents
love, understanding and a philosophy of life.
It will give you heat, food, warmth and happiness.
The new fire represents a new beginning……
a new life and a new family.
The fire should keep burning; you should stay together.
You have lit the fire for life, until old age separates you.
Simple, yet elegant. Their service was tailored to their wants and desires for their big day, and was met with laughter, tears and lots of confetti!
