Up early this morning to travel to Kent for the wedding of Tom and Susan. This ceremony was really exciting as their story was truly beautiful.  Susan, originally from Seattle and Tom from London, were engaged on the end of a pier on their adventures travelling through California.

Their ceremony was held in a beach house on Whitstable beach.  The sun shone brightly and there was so much excitement in the air (it was also really nice to show the America visitors that we do have sun sometimes!). As the Hawaiian band played some summery tunes, Susan came down the aisle after her beautiful flower girls, alongside her dad. The ceremony included 3 readings of which one was an amazing song by her sister and her family. Very touching.

With an audience looking up at us on the beach, Susan and Tom poured sand into a vessel to symbolise the special blend of families and the bond this wedding ties.

Really enjoyed this ceremony. The script was so personal and it really was my pleasure to officiate and take part in this lovely couples big day.
