Wedding Legal Requirements

Signing the marriage licence.

Wedding legal requirements.

Having your wedding officiated by a Tailor Made Ceremonies Celebrant gives you the freedom to decide it’s location and the content of the ceremony.

Registrar led services are often restricted by a set script and can only be performed in a licensed venue, limiting you to options outside of these regulations.

After making a booking with us and starting your journey to your personalised service, you will need to make arrangements with the Registry Office to complete the legal element of your marriage. It’s really easy, you simply need to give notice of marriage and set a date to sign the legal papers. Many couples decide to do this in the morning of their wedding or a day or two before.

You can request the simple service which requires just two witnesses. It is not a legal requirement to exchange rings and say vows so you can keep these special elements for your Celebrant led Wedding Ceremony.

Your declaration of love and commitment by saying your vows and exchanging rings in front of your friends and family is, to us, the most special and significant part of your wedding.

With Tailor Made Ceremonies, you have the freedom to do this when, where and however you wish.
