07 Sep Woodlands, a flower arch and a folk band, all in the name of love
I had been recommended by a couple Terry officiated a wedding ceremony for last year, Annora and Gareth, to their friends. Emily and Gareth booked a whole year in advance for their wedding ceremony so we had plenty of time to prepare something really special.
They had chosen to host their wedding at Far Park in Cirencester. It was actually Emily’s mum’s field that she housed her sheep! The location had some lovely woodlands, filled with wild garlic! (I said to Emily she will remember her day every time she smells garlic!). Emily and Gareth had spent a lot of time making their ceremony simple, yet effective. They had a beautiful flower arch as you entered and a beautiful woodland focal point.
To a folk band walked their little girl (who took a stumble in the woods on the way down the aisle – such a sweet girl!), 2 bridesmaids and the beautiful Emily smiling from ear to ear.
The ceremony was perfect for them both – relaxed, informal yet with the right amount of romance and formality. It suited them both perfectly. Their nephew, Josh, presented the rings and was proud as punch to come to the front to present them.
The folk band led the procession to drinks and celebration afterwards – back through the fields of garlic!
I received some really special feedback from Emily and Gareth of which I am always so grateful as Wedding Ceremonies really are my pleasure!
“Thank you so much for being our celebrant. The whole experience has been great, from your initial visits and emails to your support on the day and the actual ceremony. You made the process relaxed, personalised and very professional. It felt like you really ‘got’ us and the plans for the wedding and embraced the slightly crazy idea. So many guests have commented on how good you were and that they had never heard a ceremony like it – there were a lot of tears! The tone of the ceremony was just what we wanted acknowledging the serious commitment we were making but also keeping things light and fun. Would recommend you to anyone.”
