30 Jun Celtic Manor Resort and Spa – Sam and Tom Harding’s Big Day
Tom and Sam met in Melbourne, Australia. They both moved from Sydney for work and their paths crossed at a mutual friend’s party. Without realising, they soon fell head over heels for each other. Tom is originally from Wales and they decided to marry in Wales, in the beautiful Celtic Manor Resort.
They wanted a celebrant for their service as they wanted a tailor made ceremony.
We worked closely with the couple to write their personalised service and decided to include a sand ceremony to combine the two sands of wales and Australian – two sets of sand that could then never be divided.
Here’s a sneak peak of the sand ceremony:
Life’s moments are as grains of sands, forever moving and shifting with the winds of time. Tom and Sam, you have just sealed your relationship by giving and receiving of rings and the exchange of a kiss, and you have committed here today to share the rest of our lives with each other. Today, this relationship is symbolised through the pouring of these two individual containers of sand, one representing you Tom from the shores of Wales – all that you were, all that you are, and all that you will ever be, and the other representing you, Sam from a beach in Australia – all that you were and all that you are, and all that you will ever be. As these two containers of sand are poured into the third, the individual containers of sand will no longer exist, but will be joined together as one. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so will your marriage be.
